Basic Craft Foam Attack on Titan 3DMG Blade Tutorial
Disclaimer: By no means is this most exact or realistic way to make 3DMG but it makes due for a fairly decent con-safe cosplay prop that doesn’t weigh a ton or cost a fortune. This tutorial is only for the blades, but you can use the same basic principles and materials to make most of the other parts as well.
What you are going to need:
- 1 36” sheet of white foam board (from Michael’s)
- 1-2 (12” x 18”) sheets of white craft foam (I used Creatology Fun Foam)
- Black acrylic paint
- White acrylic paint
- Brown acrylic paint
- Silver 3D fabric paint (in the little squirt bottles for detailing)
- Silver metallic paint (I used Dazzling Metallics by DecoArt)
- Glue gun (make sure you have lots of glue sticks)
- 2 black pipecleaners
- Fine tip black sharpie
- Small paint brushes
- Tracing paper (or regular printer paper works as well)
- 1 small sheet of sand paper
Sorry if this is too superficial but I’m not a cosplayer myself so I mostly notice only the artistic side of cosplay photos, not the technical side, but did my best! Also, sorry for any grammar mistakes or whatever, but English isn’t my first language (╯_╰)
3D MANEUVER GEAR:
Major disclaimer: The original post is just a copypasted collection of tweets. Reika didn’t write down every single step of the process, there are some repetitions and overall a lot of mentions of the Japanese 100-Yen supermarket chain Daiso. You can find several Daiso Internationals in America (mostly in Northern California) but for those who don’t have access to those handy stores, try Walmart or general hobby stores!
If you have any questions you consider asking me, please read this first.
Since it’s already spread over twitter, I’ll just leave the copypasta containing all of my tweets over here~.
■I will add a PS at the bottom.
But first of all, pictures of the finished product.
Some minor adjustments and fine-tuning might be necessary, but this is more or less how it is.
Now some pictures while having it equipped.
Also some photos after I did various adjustments here and there. This one’s the most recent status （＾ⅴ＾）

Now THIS is a bold lingerie ad.
When the star model for Forever Yours Lingerie was diagnosed with cancer, the brand decided to stick with her.
Tom Megginson at The Ethical Admanapproves:
“So, while American Eagle is getting virtual hugs and high fives for its commitment to not photoshopping its typical-looking models, elsewhere there are brands and models who are willing to show us what it really takes to do something about the fashion industry’s body image problem.”
All I can do is
